CONCRETE ADMIXTURES

Barrier One Concrete Admixtures manufacturers four (4) products. Our two primary products are based on Porosity Inhibiting Technology and our two secondary products are based on Moisture Vapor Reduction Technology. We offer “interior” and “exterior” versions of both. All of our admixtures are liquid and are integral to the concrete and not topically applied.

Barrier One PIA

PIA inhibits and blocks the redistribution of concrete moisture, stopping the main source and/or cause of interior flooring failures. PIA allows interior flooring applications to proceed by blocking the harmful redistribution of concrete moisture, therefore eliminating the need for topical moisture mitigation systems, eliminating wait times to meet concrete moisture requirements, and providing an adhesion guarantee for each type of flooring system. PIA is our primary recommendation for all adhered, stained, sealed, dyed, colored, polished, terrazzo, and floated flooring applications.

Barrier One MVRA-CPS

MVRA-CPS reduces the redistribution of harmful concrete moisture, slowing the main source and/or cause of interior flooring adhesive failures. MVRA-CPS allows interior flooring applications to proceed by decreasing the harmful redistribution of concrete moisture, therefore lowering the need for topical moisture mitigation systems, lessening wait times to meet concrete moisture requirements, and providing an adhesion guarantee for each type of flooring system. MVRA-CPS is our secondary recommendation for all adhered, stained, sealed, dyed, colored, polished, terrazzo, and floated flooring applications.

CSXtreme

CSXtreme inhibits and blocks the intrusion and penetration of water through concrete, allowing for coatings, sealers, paints, sealers, hot rubber, and other products to be applied in as little as 7-days after concrete placement. CSXtreme is classified as a Permeability Reducing Admixture for Hydrostatic Conditions (PRAH) as well as an ASR Inhibitor, shrinkage reducer, and corrosion inhibitor. CSXtreme is used for below grade waterproofing, matt slabs, roofing, tilt-walls, parking decks, retaining walls, warehouse facilities, cold storage facilities, precast, DOT roads and bridge decks.

WPX Admixture

WPX reduces the intrusion and penetration of water through concrete allowing for coatings, sealers, paints, sealers, hot rubber, and other products to be applied in as little as 7-days after concrete placement. WPX is classified as a Permeability Reducing Admixture for Non-Hydrostatic Conditions (PRAN) as well as an ASR Inhibitor, shrinkage reducer, and corrosion inhibitor. WPX is recommended for all above grade water/vapor proofing, roofing, tilt-walls, parking decks, retaining walls, warehouse facilities, cold storage facilities, and precast.
