In 2017, Barrier One Concrete Admixtures won the Slag Cement Association’s award in the architectural category for the construction of their new headquarters and warehouse. Completed in 2016, the building utilized 50% slag and 50% portland cement for all concrete. Its revolutionary design and flawless execution continues to inspire Barrier One Concrete Admixtures employees every day.
The Construction Innovation Forum (CIF) has a yearly award program designed to identify and recognize innovation in the construction industry. In acknowledgement of Barrier One’s ability to economically control the moisture content of concrete, and thus prevent flooring failures, Barrier One Concrete Admixtures received the 2012 NOVA Award for Construction Innovation.
